Whipped Salon is a beauty salon which specializes in sugar waxing and body scrubbing. They have a quaint and vibrant store in three locations, BGC, Alabang and Quezon City. I partnered with them for me to try their services so you'll have an idea what to expect.


Sugaring or sugar waxing is a hair removal method similar to waxing. The only difference is that sugar waxing uses a sugaring paste which can be applied to the skin on room temperature, unlike with waxing that uses hot/warm wax.

If you follow my blog, you have read my view of Saladbox and my not so good experience. I have long forgiven and forgotten about my not so good experience with them and decided to move on, yet a box on my doorstep is a big surprise. Saladbox teamed up with world renowned brand, Benefit for their holiday box. Saladbox have hinted the collaboration in their social media sites, and I was one happy gal because I was one of the few (I guess) who got these boxes. Let's take a peek of what's inside this dainty pink box:

KitcheNails is a newly opened nail salon at Trinoma. The concept of the nail salon is quite unique as the whole salon exudes scents that will make your tummy flip. KitcheNails is a culinary-inspired nail salon which features a unique way to pamper your hands and feet (and even your nostrils).


They opened a few weeks ago, and I was lucky to be invited to try their services. I rarely go to a nail salon because my nails are pretty low maintenance. I just keep them short and clean and that's it. If I'm feeling a bit adventurous, I'd sport a nail color.

One of the most common problem faced by a woman is unwanted hair. Hair naturally grows in areas of our body, but if it grows on places that are more visible like legs, face and pits, it affects our overall aesthetic appearance.

Hairy pits, arms, legs and bushy areas have not been what we imagined visible on girls or women. Blame it to vanity and hygienic compulsion, every girl wanted to look pristine without that hint of hair.


Hair salons and aesthetic center such as HairX, a newly opened hair removal salon in BGC, have aimed to make the hair removal process easy and worry free. They utilize the newest technology and up to date practices that make the hair removal process almost pain-free.

Every Filipinos love to bath. I think that it is because of our tropical humid weather that makes us water-loving creatures. Bathing has been one of the things that I spend luxurious amount of time. That is why I love hoarding bath essentials that smells good and refreshing.

I was invited by the people from Zomato and Bigoli Eastwood for a Foodie Meet-up. I was excited because there will be good food, good company and lots of fun.

Zomato is an app that compiles the list of restaurants and establishments in the Metro. It serves as guide that is very helpful especially for foodies (like me!) if you want to know the best food places in the area. You can write a review to help other foodies give an insight on how the restaurants fare.

Ristorante Bigoli Eastwood takes pride in offering Italian Cuisine. They are located at Eastwood Citywalk 2 and have ample space to dine in for it has a second floor. They also have function rooms that you can conduct meetings with. We also got to meet Jerome Mitra, their Marketing Manager that day.

After indulging ourselves at Ace Water Spa, We dragged ourselves in the pouring rain along the streets of Kapitolyo. Kapitolyo is known as a foodie haven since there are a wide selection of foodspots to try in the area.

After a little research and scouting the whole area, Three Sisters happened to be at every list I found if your looking for affordable eats in the Kapitolyo area. We both decided to try it.

Three Sisters has a homey feel, like you are eating in your own dining area. They are known for their grilled Pork BBQ and meals that resembles to home-cooked meals.

Soshi and I celebrated our 11th year anniversary at Ace Water Day Spa. I have a Belle de Jour Buy 1 Take 1 coupon that we decided to use for the first time (I always have 2 coupons every year from my planner, yet I always give them out). We were planning to have a relaxed weekend, despite the rainy weather.


Ace Water Spa is not your usual spa place. It's a public spa which incorporates hydrotherapy massages. You will not have your own massage therapist neither have your own room for the massages. It's pampering at your own pace.

Hydrotherapy massage is a kind of therapeutic massage that utilizes "Ultrasonic Jet System" that massages specific areas of the body with its aquatic jets strategically located to relax and soothe tired and aching muscles. The massage is done in heated water, utilizing one push-of-a-button equipment which can be set as soft, moderate and hard massages. The massage systems, being "do-it-yourself" type, gives the freedom to decide which water equipment to use and which part of his body needs more attention.

It's no secret that Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter spreads are a huge hit here in Manila. When it hit here, almost boxes of cookie butter jars were shipped here just to cater the increasing demand here in thge metro. Several establishments and online store carry it now as their product and even food establishments try to incorporate it in their menu.


Krispy Kreme was one of the pioneers in utilizing cookie butter in their menu. They recently launched their cookie butter donut variants.

I was meeting my sister at SM Mall of Asia to borrow some stuff from her. I promised in return to treat her a milk tea. Since she just stepped out of her office for a bit, the nearest milk tea place I spotted was a kiosk named Cobo.

Man of Steel opened last June 12, 2013 here, I was lucky to score some tickets to catch it on the premier. I won two movie tickets for the viewing at Resorts World Cinema, courtesy of a post I made for Nuffnang and Wacoal.

We decided to drop by Market Market one weekend. The foodie in me wanted to try something new so we scouted the newly renovated wing for new food places.

We had lunch at Moshi Koshi Noodle Bar. We decided to give it a try.

Shoyu Ramen (Php195)

I went for the shoyu ramen since eating is a challenge for a newly adjusted braces. The ramen was good, especially the noodles. Servings were okay for the pricing.

This month, my favorite moisturizer had been consumed to the very last drop. I was feeling risky to try other type of moisturizer. I have a very dry and sensitive skin, so I've been having a hard time choosing a new moisturizer to suit my skin time (taking consideration also the price over the actual need or usage)

I've been using my Nivea moisturizer and it had became my instant favorite. It doesn't have a strong scent and it quickly absorbs on my skin, having a moisturized feel on my face. It is practically cheaper for the value I got from the product (considering the price over the length I've been using it). I have consumed about two bottles already and my skin had adapted to it already.
