Soshi and I decided to have lunch at Kuse Crossroads BGC before heading out on a wedding at San Pedro Laguna. The wedding is set at 2:00PM and we were already starving by the time we stepped out the blaring sun.

Yabu is a known Japanese Katsu place that is making it's name here in the country. It is considered one of the top must-try katsu places in the Metro. It was good news that they are opening more stores in the Metro, making it easier for people to get their katsu fix. I was delighted that they opened a branch just below our office, making no excuse to try Yabu's katsu goodness.

We went to Soshi's hometown San Vicente Camarines Norte right on the feast of St. Vincent, which also coincides with the town fiesta. A lot of activities were scheduled. What captured our attention is the preservation of Mananap Falls.

I've been hearing stories from Soshi's relatives that Mananap Falls is the hidden gem of San Vicente. Tucked in the inner forest between the mountains, it would take 2 hours of trekking difficult trails to see the beauty of the falls. Only a few dared for as it has been a dangerous trail.


This year, the city government has decided to take action by improving the trail going to the falls and they started rehabilitation of the forest by initiating a tree planting project. The people in San Vicente are well aware of what happened at Mananap Falls. Tree cutting and harvesting of logs are eminent in the area and the river coursing through the falls has been a means of transporting the logs to town. Good thing the town of San Vicente finally realized that they have something that should be taken care of not only to boost tourism in town but also as a favor to the environment.

After a whole day at Republic Wake Park, we decided to stroll at Nuvali and check the area out. We Strolled through Solenad 1 & 2, checked out the stores and was amazed by the eco-friendly surroundings.

After walking a few hours, we decided to eat at Uncle Cheffy Nuvali. Uncle Cheffy is known for bigger serving at an affordable price. It is great to dine there if you are a larger group.

For starters, we ordered their famous Panizza. We chose the All Meat variant and we were quite satisfied. The panizza was appetizing, especially while it's still piping hot.


Uncle Cheffy is also known for its brick oven panizza. The all-meat panizza is a great option to start with. There are two ways to eat the panizza. First way is to place some greens, tomatoes and sprouts in, roll the dough and eat it like a wrap. Second way was to eat it like ordinary pizza.

CityKart Racing was formerly situated at one of the parking floors of Park Square. But then Park Square had been demolished so they transferred to Circuit Manila. We went last March, and the circuit was already complete. They were still in soft opening then.


Circuit Makati is still on construction. But we were amazed to see how fast it's coming. The Blue Stadium was already complete the same as the CityKart Racing. They were not yet there the last time we went (last December).

Soshi has been wanting to try Wakeboarding. On his birthday, I decided to treat him to a 4-hr wakepark experience. I asked my sister and his boyfriend to join us since they have been to Republic and Nuvali. We asked them to show us around Nuvali.
