What to Expect this Saturday
I was lucky to have join the media to uncover what BGC Eats 2014 has in store for this year.We were able to join Chef JJ Yulo and Artha in their mental journey towards foodgasm discovery.
The first stop was at Gustare Kitchen, a quaint private kitchen that serves meals and pastry desserts for intimate gatherings and take aways. Ginny the chef and owner of Gustare warmly welcomed us with different pastries made of egg whites that will surely satisfy our sweet tooth.
The second stop was at Prost Braumeister, a german pub which specializes in sausages and good German beers. We were fulled to the brim as we sampled four types of sausages, as well as some of tehir savory dishes. If we were served some German beers, we wouldn't mind staying there for a bit. But unfortunately, we had to move on to the next food stop.
The last stop of the tour was at the Mind Museum, where we were amazed by the Apocalypse project. We were presented with some indigenous possible food sources as Climate Change has eliminated our supply of meat, dairy and wheat. We were amazed on what a team of chef and innovators have come up with. It may be a new concept for us, but come to think of it: If Climate Change radically changed the Earth's environment, making our ecosystem different from what we've been used to, What are our possible food sources in order to survive?
It was a fun day despite the gloomy weather. Our stomach surely did not feel any gloom and was ecstatic the whole 3 hours of the tour. Among the four, I am truly excited for the Healthy Eats for I have always been in search of ways to incorporate a healthy lifestyle; and Photography Tour for I am a certified Instagram and food porn junkie.
