For the whole month of August, Vikings included new South East Asian dishes in their buffet spread. Each branch has their own unique take on our favorite South East Asian dishes that you'll never find in other branches.
I was lucky to be invited to try the new South East Asian dishes at Vikings Mall of Asia. Here's a quick peek of the dishes we had.

As the name implies, The Old Spaghetti House is known for their pasta and pizza dishes that would satisfy one's palate. Ace and Aldous had organized a blogger's dinner event at The Old Spaghetti House to try the dishes on their new menu. I was excited that I storm the rain to get to Katipunan.
Here are some of the dishes we've tried:

Grilled Chicken, Apple and Almond Salad (Php145 for single, Php275 for sharing)
It consists of grilled chicken and apple in a bed of greens dressed with their home blended garlic mayo and topped with slivers of almonds. This salad is awesome, I wouldn't mind eating just this.
This appetizer consists of squid, mussels and other seafood pieces battered and deep fried, then served with Thai Chili Mayo on the side.

I have this love-hate relationship with Thai cuisine. While I loved a good Pad Thai and Khao Pad, I just didn't have an inkling with curry based dishes. The selection of restaurants that offer authentic Thai food are beginning to shape up,for a lot of Thai restaurants have been opening in the Metro. Just Thai was one of my great new discoveries.
Just Thai have been in Burgos Circle for quite a while, I just didn't notice it much. I have been always distracted by other restaurants in the area (such as Wrong Ramen) that I wasn't able to discern that there is a quaint Thai restaurant there. I only know one Thai restaurant in BGC (Silk Road), which just opened this year.
It was the day that typhoon Glenda was about to hit the Metro. While everyone's busy preparing for the impending calamity, I was enjoying myself consuming authentic Thai Food with the company of few food bloggers. Here are the dishes we had:

Filipino dishes with a twist at Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters in Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill
Chef Lau Pugon Roasters Sunday, July 20, 2014
Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters is a "FAST GOOD" restaurant that serves firebrick oven-roasted traditional Pinoy dishes at an affordable price. I have always wanted to try their branch in Ayala Triangle (the nearest to our office). Unfortunately, whenever Soshi and I plan to dine there, either for lunch or dinner, they were always full. I have observed that not only yuppies enjoy eating at Pugon Roasters, even foreigners as well.
After the success of their branch in Ayala Triangle, Chef Roland Laudico, or more known as Chef Lau brings his signature Filipino dishes at Venice Piazza in McKinley Hill. The branch opened last April and had been making young professionals tummies happy.

Venice Piazza branch
Luckily, I was invited to try their dishes at their Venice Piazza branch. We met up with Chef Lau himself and his wife, Chef Jac along with Robert, their Marketing and Operations Manager. They discussed with us how they started and their goals. Here are some of the dishes we tried that afternoon:
