Tapsilog is one of the common breakfast staple in a Filipino breakfast table. And Kanto Freestyle Breakfast does it in a way everyone loved it even more.
Kanto Breakfast Freestyle have been known for offering gourmet-style breakfast staples in a homey environment. Their first branch in Mandaluyong was a shocker for everyone. A local eatery that provides gourmet style Filipino breakfast dishes made waves that people wanted to eat there, even as far out as north and south. Everyone wanted to try their Instagram-worthy dishes, including me.
Good thing, Kanto Breakfast Freestyle branched out to reach more people. Opening more branches in Libis, Marikina and Kapitolyo, a lot of foodies got to try their dishes. We were invited in the Kapitolyo branch to try some new items they are introducing to their menu. If you can't get enough of their breakfast combos, here are some items you might want to consider adding to your list:
These suman are yum to bits. The serving is a bit small and disappointing that you can easily finish these under a minute.
This dish has an interesting mix of bread. But the Creme de Anglaise added more texture to the breads which made it more delish.
This was one of my favorite that night. Those toasted bruschetta with a salty taste of longganisa was pure yum.
This dish went down in less than a minute. This is a good addition to their rice meal selection.
Another favorite of mine that night. Bacon, Egg and a warm bowl of congee on a cold night comprises a perfect dinner for me.
I prefer the Croque Madame over this but the cheese in this sandwich made is irresistable. The tomatoes could have been a bit grilled so it could add a bit more texture to the dish.
I love Croque Madame, but the brioche bread that comes with these western dish is a struggle to eat for my braces cladden teeth. The substitution of soft white bread is a good welcome for me. Though, the sad state of the poached egg can be improved.
This is one interesting pancake. I loved how the ube came out as a spread which gives texture to their simple pancakes.
I'm not fond of Chocnut, which is weird of me for I love nuts. This pancake was the least of my liking among all pancakes served.
Aesthetically good, this pancakes are just mediocre for me. But taking into consideration its price, i think its good enough for a choco chip pancake.
Addition of cream cheese could have made this dish more interesting. But again, for its price, this dish is good enough to eat.
Thank you Chef Vince Juanta for letting us try these new dishes and Wazzup Pilipinas for making this food blogger event possible. As usual, all dishes are affordable as Kanto Breakfast Freestyle adheres to its goal of preparing delicious gourmet dish for less than hundred bucks. I can't wait to try them again at the Libis branch, which is closer to where I live.
