Eat good, Do good and Feel good with Wasabi Warriors Century City
Century City Mall Thursday, April 23, 2015
As the boom of the Health and Fitness industry becomes inevitable, more and more people are inclined to adapt to a healthy lifestyle. But most of the time, our food options are limited and compromised, specially for the busy individuals which want their food fast and convenient. A lot of restaurants have opened up to cater the needs of the health-conscious people. A new restaurant recently brought our favorite sushi rolls, fresh, fast and at the same time healthy.
Wasabi Warriors opened up recently their first store at the ground floor of Gramercy Residences, beside the Century City Mall.. The store concept originated at Australia and had been in effect all across Asia. Luckily, Swinging Chairs Establishments Inc. introduced the brand in the Philippines. Wasabi Warriors aims to deliver food that is fresh and healthy with the convenience of fast food restaurants.
The store concept is simple and fast. You choose which flavors go with your sushi rolls. You get to choose which type of rice to go with your rolls, whether it be white, brown or organic rice. You can have it for dine in and they'll slice the rolls into the usual bite size; or you can have it to-go and have the roll as it is and eat it like a burrito. All their ingredients are free-range and organic so you are guaranteed that you'll be eating healthy.

Grab and Go interiors, simple and clean.

If you ask me, I always dream of going to Paris. Paris, in my vivid imagination seems to be an aesthetically attractive city in terms of the structures, environment, the French people and also their cuisine. French cuisine seemed to be more delicate but notable.
Le Jardin is a new French restaurant that opened at the penthouse of W 5th building. It has a garden theme which transports you back to the streets of Paris. It is owned by French Chef Gils Brault, known for his restaurant in Vietnam. Chef Hasset Go and Chef Jonas Ng are the people who convinced Chef Gils to put up Le Jardin here in the country.
As I stepped inside the restaurant, I can't help but stand in awe as how pretty the place was. It has a tasteful interior which any girl would instantly gush for. We were greeted by Operations Manager and happily toured us around the place.
We were briefed that we'll be trying their degustation menu. Chef Jonas mentioned that they didn't want to call it degustation because their menu and concept is a bit different than the normal degustation menu. One glance at the menu, their prices were a bit hefty, so my expectations of the food is a bit high as well.

Dinner with Foodies at Chicken Charlie Bonifacio Global City
Bonifacio Global City Friday, March 20, 2015
Chicken Charlie have a quaint take out/dining shop at Bonifacio Global City. You might miss their branch because it is tucked between several dining establishment and located near Burgos Circle. But despite the tough competition because of a wide variety of choices in the area, the store is usually packed specially during lunchtime, Most of its patrons are employees from nearby offices who eats lunch there or have several packs taken out.
Aldous invited us to just hang and try out Chicken Charlie. Here's what we had that night of pigging (or should I say chicken-ing??!!) out.
I ordered their Milo Dino because it is one of their bestsellers. I was kind of hesitant at first if it will go well with their soy-garlic chicken, but it turned out to be okay. the flavor of our favorite Milo drink was rich and too sweet for me (well, I really find Milo too sweet so that's why). The surprise came in when I slurped some bits of jelly at the bottom.

If you've been an avid reader of my foodie adventures, you'll know how much I enjoyed every Zomato Foodie Meet-up I've ever been to. This time, Zomato goes on full blast and invited their foodie members in their very first Zomato Food Crawl at Solaire Resorts and Casino.
As a teaser, we were informed that we will be trying 6 different restaurants at Solaire Resort and Casino. We'll try what each restaurant specially prepared for Solaire's Anniversary. With that, I grew excited! I've been to Solaire when they opened Oasis Garden Cafe and Waterside Restobar at the newly opened Sky Tower, so most likely I had an idea that those two will be included.
Solaire Resorts and Casino boasts a few hectares of gaming and entertainment complex, complete with all facilities that will make it an enjoyable stay. From their extensive casinos, luxurious hotel accomodations and a good variety of restaurants to try. As I make my way through the Sky Tower, I was able to pass by some good and pretty restaurants, my tummy was already doing somersaults with excitement!
Do you feel the sudden rise in temperature?
Yep. You guessed right. SUMMER is already here! With Summer among our midst, we can't help but long for the beach, lounging under the sun and doing absolutely nothing. My mind usually drift through the clear water and white sand of our beaches here in the Philippines.
Calaguas Island is becoming one of the country's tourist attraction. Clear waters and white sand rivaling those of Boracay and Palawan, Calaguas Island sure is on every list of tourist and summer destinations.
I remember when I first set foot at Calaguas last October, I didn't have much of a good time there. It was rainy season, the waves were cruel which made me sick during our whole stay in Calaguas. (I know, it's depressing). But don't get discouraged by my experience, Calaguas is PERFECT, specially this summer season.
Here are three things I've been longing to do in Calaguas (which I wasn't able to the first time I've been there):
