Food Buffets have been a big part of the Philippine food culture. We all love a good buffet as the sight of abundance of food is something that excites us and our tummies. There are a lot of choices for buffet spots across the Metro, and another buffet spot is a welcome addition for foodies like us.

Chef Boy Logro is known as the Kusina Master where he whips up delicious dishes in a breeze. It's  not a surprise that he opened his own restaurant, 7 Flavors in San Juan. It opened last May 2015, and had been satisfying a lot of foodies for it's wide selection of dishes at an affordable price.

Sosh and I wouldn't pass up this invite to try the dishes at 7 Flavors. We dropped by at dinnertime on a weekday. The place is big and the interiors were really modern. They have ample parking spaces, which is a hard to find in San Juan.

Filipino cuisine is one that is closest to my heart. Despite the diverse selection of different cuisines in the Metro, I will always say yes to it on any occasion. A lot of restaurants have opened up, introducing different regional Filipino cuisines. One of those is Naimas Taste of Home Makati.


Naimas Makati is a homey retaurant located at the busy streets of Amorsolo. It is tucked between  those corporate Makati buildings. As you come in, you'll get a warm ambiance. Naimas offers mostly Ilokano cuisine but there are also other Filipino favorites. My heart skipped a beat because Ilokano dishes are truly amazing (BAGNEEET!!)



Luckily, I have been to Vigan (check out my post here) and have tasted authentic Ilokano dishes. Aside from the ever fan favorite Bagnet, there are also intersting Ilokano dishes to try like Sinanglao, Pakbet, Igado, etc..



Team Aldous visited Naimas one afternoon weekend for some lip smacking food adventure. Here are some of the dishes we tried that afternoon:

New Year, New Food Adventures..

Greenbelt 5 has a wide stretch of interesting restaurants to try. Oftentimes, we get too intimidated by the posh and luxurious setting, but seriously, there are some good restaurants to try without doing too much damage to your wallet. Tapella is one of those restaurants.


Tapella is a Spanish restaurant which takes pride of its roots. I can think of three reasons why you should drop by at Tapella. First, the ambiance is a great place to unwind, with a luxurious vibe. Second, you may want to get a glimpse of their charming chef, Chef Robert Spakowski. And lastly, they have the best tapas (appetizer) for a good price.

We stormed at Tapella along with Team Aldous to dine and celebrate the holidays last December. Here are some of the interesting dishes we tried that night:

Nights appear to be more interesting as restaurants like Wingman make your dining experience more fun by holding Quiz Night every week. I was invited by Aldous to Wingman UP Town Center's Blogger Quiz Night.

Wingman started their store in The Collective Malugay and had been having a blast for they now have 4 stores across the metro. Their newest one is in UP Town Center is a very space-y store that is filled with LED TVs all across the floor. It has the best ambiance for live- viewing events and bonding sessions specially for sports fanatics.


Before we started with the brain crunching questions, Wingman first delighted our tummies with their famous wings and sides.

It was one whole week of me craving for Italian food, especially pasta. Aldous invited me to go all the way to UP Town Center to try Mama Lou's Italian Restaurant. It was raining that night, but my craving for Italian food did not stop me to brave the harsh weather.


I have known Mama Lou's when they opened their branch in Nuvali. And from the reviews of fellow foodies, Mama Lou's received a good rating and a decent ravings. OS when I was invited to try their dishes, who am I not to oblige?
